Spotify has incorporated its audio streaming service with Meta’s Muse personal AI assistant. This means that one can now control music, podcasts, and audiobook streaming through conversational commands. The incorporation of this platform also facilitates the creation of playlists and content exploration, as well as personal podcasts from Spotify.

Muse is capable of correlating Spotify streaming with the user’s calendar. For instance, one can plan out music according to exercise time and work schedule. Also, Muse is capable of creating a playlist for an upcoming road trip.

Spotify Adds Playback and Playlist Controls to Meta Muse

Spotify unveiled the Meta Muse Integration this Wednesday. With the latest update, Spotify’s extensive library of music, podcasts, and audiobooks becomes accessible to the intelligent agent.

Once both services are connected, users will be able to tell Muse to look up anything on Spotify, begin and queue up any content, save songs, and manage their Spotify playlists. Muse can also play the last podcast played by the user. Spotify Connect enables users to stream any chosen content via compatible devices.

The integration also enables managing Spotify playlists using Muse. Users will be able to command Muse to find songs and add them to any existing playlist. Muse can also make a new playlist for the users, name it, and add all the songs requested during the session.

Spotify’s Personal Podcast feature is accessible through the integration. Muse turns the daily briefs, notes, and ideas of users into audio files. The audio file thus created gets stored in the users’ Spotify Library.

Time-related information may be utilised by Muse in order to control the music being played on Spotify. The users may set the start time of a playlist, like 7am for a morning run. Information from calendar appointments may be used as well; for example, a focus playlist may start during a planned work session.

Moreover, Spotify has provided information about how its integration may look during a road trip. Muse may use information about the destination to create a driving playlist and start it automatically once the road trip starts.

It should be noted that there are more options to come up with regarding the use of Spotify and Muse together. Unfortunately, there is no information available.
