Apple’s first foldable reached Indian buyers on Friday, with crowds at its Saket store in Delhi.
Long queues formed outside Apple’s Saket store at Select CITYWALK Mall in Delhi on October 23, the day the iPhone Duo officially went on sale in India, ANI reported.
The phone costs between Rs 2,99,900 and Rs 4,49,900, depending on storage. Buyers can also check the latest updates on iPhone Duo stock availability in India before planning a purchase.
iPhone Duo price in India
| Product | What’s reported | Design |
|---|---|---|
| MacBook Pro (14 and 16 inch) | First touchscreen, OLED display | Redesigned |
| MacBook Pro (entry-level 14 inch) | M6 chip | Same as today |
| iMac (24 inch) | M6 chip, possible new colours | Same as today |
| iPad mini | OLED screen, A20 Pro chip | Redesigned |
What you get
The Duo has a 7.6-inch flexible inner display that folds down to a 5.4-inch cover screen. It runs on the new A20 Pro chip, has a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system, and sits in a titanium frame.
What buyers are saying
One customer who picked up the 512GB model for around Rs 3,24,000 told ANI his first impressions were good. He liked the interface and said the camera seems a little weaker than the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s.
His favourite part was running two apps side by side on the same screen. He said he hadn’t seen that on another phone.
He expects the Duo to catch on with younger buyers, though he admits the price is a real barrier.
He also bought a protection plan. With a folding screen, he said, it’s worth having, but it adds to the bill.
A note on availability
Apple said earlier this week that in India, iPhone Duo units would go only to customers who had already ordered online, with no walk-in sales. The ANI report doesn’t say whether the buyers at Saket were collecting pre-orders or buying off the shelf. Apple has also said stock is limited everywhere, and online orders sold out within minutes, with delivery slipping into January for some.
If you didn’t pre-order, check Apple India’s online store for pickup availability before you head out.
