Google Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Special Edition Goes on Sale: Price, Features and More

Google has unveiled the Stephen Curry Special Edition of the Pixel Watch 5, creating yet another variant in the smartwatch collection of Google just about two weeks after the regular versions were launched. The special edition of the watch is available in the 45 mm size with the Satin Pyrite casing combined with the Rye Performance Loop.

The band that comes with the special watch includes a water-resistant finish along with the branding of Stephen Curry. Back in February of this year, Google had also launched the Stephen Curry Special Edition of the Fitbit Ace.

Google Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Special Edition Price and Availability 

The Google Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Special Edition comes with a price tag of $579.99 (approx. Rs. 54,800). This smartwatch is currently available for purchase via the Google Store and Amazon US and is in limited stock.

The Rye Performance Loop, which is provided along with the special edition watch, is also available for individual purchase at a price of $59.99 (approx. Rs. 5,700).

Google recently launched the Pixel Watch 5 in two sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm. While the 41 mm variant costs $399 (approx. Rs. 37,700), the 45 mm variant costs $429 (approx. Rs. 40,500). The LTE version of the 41mm and 45mm Pixel Watch 5 costs $499 (approx. Rs. 47,100) and $529 (approx. Rs. 50,000). 

Google Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Special Edition Features and Specifications

The Stephen Curry Special Edition Pixel Watch 5 has a 45 mm Satin Pyrite aluminium case along with a Rye-coloured Performance Loop that cannot be found in the regular Pixel Watch 5 series.

The Performance Loop has a water-resistant coating and is ideal for exercising and other daily routines. Besides, the Performance Loop has the branding of Stephen Curry to make the smartwatch unique.

The display technology of the watch is exactly the same as that of the regular Pixel Watch 5 series. This display technology includes a domed Actua 360 AMOLED LTPO display having a brightness of up to 3,000 nits and a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz. Additionally, the display of the watch supports always-on mode and is covered with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass.

Performance and Storage 

The Stephen Curry Pixel Watch 5 Special Edition comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 Accelerated along with a Cortex-M55 co-processor.

Health and Fitness Features 

The Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Special Edition comes with an array of features that are used in monitoring a variety of health indicators during daily activities.

Health Guardian has been made available by Google in the Pixel Watch 5 and is aimed at giving monthly updates on blood pressure, sleep, breathing quality, and insulin resistance patterns.

The other advanced feature in the watch is that of Breathing Emergency Detection, which detects a severe drop in oxygen levels using the PPG, accelerometer and barometer sensors.

Battery Life and Additional Features 

The Pixel Watch 5 version with a 45 mm battery is able to work up to 40 hours, as noted by Google. Even a 15-minute charge will be enough for 15 hours of operation.
