The Redmi Note 17 Pro series is set to launch in India today, weeks after the lineup was unveiled in select global markets. The series will include two models: the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
Prior to the official Indian launch, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, has revealed quite a few things related to the new smartphone range, from design to specifications and features of the phones. The Redmi Note 17 Pro series is rumoured to come with different Snapdragon processors for both phones, alongside a dual rear camera arrangement similar to their international counterparts.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Price in India and Availability (Expected)
The official India pricing and storage configurations of the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max are yet to be announced. Xiaomi is expected to reveal the final pricing details during the launch livestream later today.
According to a recent tip, the Redmi Note 17 Pro could launch in India at a starting price of Rs. 39,000 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The higher-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is reportedly expected to be priced at Rs. 42,000.
For reference, the Redmi Note 17 Pro was launched in Japan at a starting price of JPY 79,980 (approximately Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM + 512GB storage model was introduced at JPY 99,980 (around Rs. 62,000).
The Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be available for purchase in India through Amazon. The Redmi Note 17 Pro will be offered in at least one pink colour option, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will be available in at least one Secret Sunshine colour variant.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Specifications and Features (Expected)
The specifications of the Redmi Note 17 Pro series include enhanced performance, durability, and battery performance.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max smartphone will have a 10,000mAh battery capacity, which allows the smartphone to provide more than four days of battery life per charge.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max smartphones will feature a dual rear camera system. In addition, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max smartphone will have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera.
Moreover, Redmi announced that the upcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro series will be available in India with IP69K water and dust resistance. The devices will also be rated for TÜV SÜD 5 Star Titan Quality certification for durability, along with Gorilla Glass protection.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Series Processor and Performance
Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will have different Snapdragon chipsets.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro will have the octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset in it.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, on the other hand, will get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset.
