The Oppo Watch S2 model is now expected to launch in China next week along with the new Oppo Find X10 range. Before the scheduled launch of the device, Oppo has started receiving orders for its upcoming smartwatch via its online store in China.
Oppo has also unveiled the design, colours, specifications, and features of its upcoming gadget. The Oppo Watch S2 smartwatch will have three colour options and will also have advanced health monitoring capabilities, a fat burn mode, and a lightweight build when compared to its predecessor.
Oppo Watch S2 Design and Colour Options
Oppo has released an official announcement on Weibo stating that their upcoming smartwatch, Oppo Watch S2, is now open for pre-orders in China on the Oppo China website.
There are going to be three different colour choices available for this smartwatch:
- Orange
- Powder Blue
- Mountains Grey
A round dial design will be used for this smartwatch, just like in the case of its predecessor. This smartwatch will be 8.9mm thick, just like its predecessor.
Nevertheless, the new smartwatch is going to be slightly lighter. The Oppo Watch S2 weighs 34.4 g without a strap, whereas the Oppo Watch S1 weighed 35 g.
Oppo Watch S2 Features and Health Tracking Capabilities
The Oppo Watch S2 comes with a FatMax “Super Fat Burning Mode”, where the device promises to give the user a personal fat-burning heart rate.
It will be accompanied by a new health sensor on the wearable. As per the company, the new optical sensor comes with 75 percent better anti-interference performance (translation from Chinese) and promises 98.8 percent accuracy in tracking heart rate during workouts.
The wearable will also have “fat-burning gram visualisation”, where it will show the fat-burning data to the user.
Oppo Watch S2 Battery Life and Smart Features
The Oppo Watch S2 battery can last for up to 10 days.
If you have a consistent use pattern, you would get:
- A battery life of up to 7 days with consistent usage
- A battery life of up to 4 days with the always-on display feature
The smartwatch will also support live updates, which will include notifications from your food delivery apps, taxi-hailing apps, and navigation applications.
Oppo Watch S2 Launch Date
The Oppo Watch S2 will be launched in China along with other products from Oppo, namely Oppo Find X10, Oppo Find X10 Pro, Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, and Oppo Find X10 E, on September 22.
