The Vivo V80 smartphone will hit the Indian market next month, says Vivo. The new device is said to be a replacement for the Vivo V70, which was introduced earlier this February.

Some of the key highlights of the Vivo V80 include a Zeiss camera system, a 144 Hz OLED display, and a 7,200 mAh battery; it will ship with Android 17-based OriginOS 7.

Vivo V80 India Launch Date and Availability

The Vivo V80 will hit the Indian market on October 6th at 12 noon. The new phone will be available in three different colour variants: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black.

After its launch, the smartphone will be made available via the Vivo India official website, Amazon, Flipkart, and offline stores located in India.

The smartphone’s specifications have been unveiled by Vivo on its Amazon microsite.

Vivo V80 Display Specifications

The Vivo V80 smartphone would come with a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen would be capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colours as well as having a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

The bezels on this screen would have dimensions of 1.25 mm.

Vivo V80 Camera Features

The Vivo V80 will have a Zeiss rear camera setup. This will include a 50MP rear camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYTIA 700V sensor and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

In addition, the phone will have a 50MP rear camera for Night Telephoto, featuring a 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor. This rear camera will have OIS, 3x optical zoom, and up to 100x zoom. The phone will have another Zeiss rear camera, which is wide-angle.

For selfies and video calling purposes, there will be a 50MP Group Selfie rear camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.

The Vivo V80 will be capable of supporting 4K cinematic video and 4K standard video at 60 fps.

Vivo V80 AI Imaging Features

Confirming that there will be more than 30 creative features with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), Vivo has revealed that some of them are Live Sticker Collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.

The AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 feature is meant for holiday photography and helps in enhancing the lighting and other such factors in portrait shots.

Vivo V80 Software and Battery

This is going to be the first phone from the V-series by Vivo to launch with OriginOS 7 powered by Android 17.

The smartphone comes with a 7200 mAh battery, which, according to Vivo, is the largest ever used in any V-series device. It offers up to 14 hours of continuous navigation time as well as up to 39.5 hours of video playback.

The smartphone will support 90W FlashCharge.

Vivo V80 Chipset and Geekbench Scores

The Vivo V80 phone’s chipset has not been officially confirmed yet. However, the phone has been found in the Geekbench database using the Qualcomm SM7750 chipset.

This number corresponds to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 system-on-a-chip, which is also found in the Vivo V70 phone.

On Geekbench 7.1.0 for Android AArch64, the Vivo V80 phone scored 1,070 points in the single-core test and 3,552 points in the multi-core test.
