Sony WH-1000XM4C Wireless Headphones Launched With Up to 55 Hours of Battery: Features, Price, and More

Sony has added three wireless headphones to its existing lineup, which includes headphones from the premium, mid-range, and entry-level categories. These three headphones by Sony include the Sony WH-1000XM4C, Sony WH-CH730N, and Sony WH-CH530, with features like ANC, improved sound tuning, AI noise reduction during calls, and battery life.

The Sony WH-1000XM4C is an improvement on Sony’s current model WH-1000XM4 headphones with improved sound tuning and a 10-band equaliser. The Sony WH-CH730N comes with noise cancellation, a foldable design, and improved calls. Lastly, the Sony WH-CH530, which is a part of the entry-level range, comes with improved battery life of up to 55 hours and AI noise reduction during calls.

Sony has launched special edition headphone bundles of their product line-up in collaboration with Hello Kitty.

Sony WH-1000XM4C, WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 Price and Availability

The Sony WH-1000XM4C is priced at GBP 219 (approximately Rs. 28,200) and available in Black, Lavender, and Platinum Silver colour variants.

The Sony WH-CH730N is priced at GBP 99.99 (approximately Rs. 12,900) and is available in Black, Beige, Blue, Pink, and White colour variants.

The entry-level Sony WH-CH530 is priced at GBP 49.99 (approximately Rs. 6,400) and is available in six colour variants, namely Black, Cobalt, Coral, Mint, Pink and White.

Sony has announced the availability of the three wireless headphones in the UK from September 10, 2026.

Along with the three wireless headsets, Sony has launched limited-edition headphone bundles in collaboration with Hello Kitty. The limited edition bundles will include the WH-1000XM6, WH-CH730N, and WH-CH530 wireless headphones along with a Hello Kitty carrying pouch and tote bag.

Sony WH-1000XM4C Features and Specifications

The Sony WH-1000XM4C has maintained the over-the-ear style and noise cancellation ability as that of the Sony WH-1000XM4. However, the firm has revamped its sound tuning and offered the users a 10-band equaliser in order to get their preferred audio settings.

Some of the functions included are DSEE Extreme, Personal NC Optimiser, Ambient Sound Mode, and Quick Attention. The Sony WH-1000XM4C weighs 253g and has 40mm drivers.

In terms of connectivity options, the headphones offer Bluetooth 6.0 and codecs such as SBC, AAC, and LDAC. Moreover, the headphones have the ability to connect to a device via multipoint connection and via the supplied 1.2m detachable cable.

According to Sony, the headphones can play music for up to 27 hours when noise cancellation is activated. On the other hand, without enabling noise cancellation, the playtime increases to up to 34 hours. It takes three hours to charge the headphones via USB.

Sony WH-CH730N Features and Specifications 

The Sony WH-CH730N is positioned below the company’s premium headphone range while retaining active noise cancellation features. It uses dual noise sensor technology and comes with a foldable over-ear design.

The weight of these headphones is about 207g, and they have 30mm dynamic drivers.

In terms of calls, the Sony WH-CH730N has Precise Voice Pickup Technology, which uses beamforming microphones, optimised microphone positioning, and noise reduction by means of AI technology.

Some additional features in the headphones are DSEE, Ambient Sound Mode, multipoint connection, and audio customization. These headphones are compatible with Bluetooth 6.0 and codecs like SBC, AAC, and LC3.

According to Sony, the battery life of the WH-CH730N with active noise cancellation is up to 50 hours, and 75 hours with ANC turned off. Also, these headphones have fast charging; 3 minutes of charging can provide up to 1 hour of music.

Sony WH-CH530 Features and Specifications

Sony WH-CH530 headphones are among the most budget-friendly devices from the latest range and feature an on-ear form factor. These headphones have 30mm drivers and are available in six colours.

The earbuds are equipped with a soft head cushion for more comfortable use in longer sessions. Other features are DSEE, adjustable EQ settings, and multipoint connectivity.

To make calls, there is noise cancellation via AI technology. Another feature of the WH-CH530 headphones is the five-level maximum volume control.

This device can work with such accessories as voice assistants, Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and LE Audio. According to Sony, the WH-CH530 offers up to 55 hours of playback.

The time of charging is about three hours; three minutes’ fast charging will give you up to 1.5 hours of listening. WH-CH530 is also Bluetooth 6.0 compatible.
